thank you for this piece! I enjoyed it and learned from it. Have you heard the New York Times podcast series called Nice White Parents? It talks about the deseg issues and the way it's 100% traceably true that white parents are the ones who both demanded it, and then didn't send their kids to desegregated schools. It's really maddening but super informative.
